Dr. Catherine Cunningham attended Temple University Medical School.  In 1992, she began her residency training at New York University and completed her training in 1996.  Dr. Cunningham has practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology in Summit and Westfield, NJ since 1996.  She is currently limiting her practice exclusively to office gynecology and gynecologic surgery.  Dr. Cunningham has a special interest in the perimenopause and alternative management of menopausal symptoms- both holistic non-hormonal therapies and natural hormone therapy.  Other areas of interest and expertise include management of the abnormal Pap smear and treatment of diseases of the lower genital tract; birth control, IUD placement and new scar-free permanent sterilization.  Pro-active preventative care and therapeutic life changes are a main focus in the comprehensive care Dr. Cunningham provides.
